Klaus' Introduction Walkthrough

After several relatively quick quests in KCD2's Legacy of the Forge, your introduction to Klaus will take a bit more work. If you need some help tracking down the bandits you're sent after, check out our guide below.

Meeting Klaus

Once you’ve bested Boris at dice, it’s time to speak with Klaus Eichner. You’ll find him at his shop in the middle of Kuttenberg. Check out the map above to see his exact location.

If you want a quick reputation boost with Klaus, pick “Martin raised me. (Tell the truth)” when prompted. The rest of your dialogue choices won’t have any impact. However, you will get different supplies based on your final answer about how you’re going to deal with the bandits.

Finding the Bandits

No matter what you pick, you’ll now need to head to the marked location outside of Kuttenberg. This serves as an introduction to guild quests you’ll come across later to help build prestige. You need to go into an Enemy Camp and pick up supplies. Generally, it’ll be things marked with the “guild” tag, but in this case, you need two stolen documents.

Deal with the bandits however you see fit. If you’re playing this DLC after finishing the main campaign, we’d recommend just fighting through them. They aren’t too tough, and you’ll get a key to the locked chest. Either way, you’ll need to grab the Lost guild contract and Lost guild document from the chest.

When you’re doing these quests, be on the lookout for any items that read Sketch for armourer or something similar. You’ll need these if you want to have the journeymen you add to your shop later create items from sketches to pick up the Innovator trophy.

When you have the two documents, head back to Klaus. After talking to him, you’ll unlock guild activities and start the next quest. We’d recommend completing the guild activities each day because you need to reach Blacksmith Prestige 13 to complete a later quest. You might as well start knocking it out now.
